Following the approach of the CDF collaboration, the charged-particle number and summed-$p_{\rm T}$ densities are measured as a function of the leading-particle transverse momentum ($p_{\rm T}^{\rm trig}$). These quantities are studied in three topological regions: toward, away and transverse. The toward and away regions contain the jet fragments, whereas the transverse region is the most sensitive to the underlying event. The particle densities are measured in pp and p-Pb collisions at the same nucleon-nuclei center-of-mass energy. Comparisons between particle densities in pp and p-Pb collisions at the same $p_{\rm T}^{\rm trig}$ will be shown. In addition, the transverse momentum spectra measured in each topological region for pp, p-Pb and Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}=5.02$ TeV will be presented. The evolution of the $p_{\rm T}$ spectral shapes with multiplicity in the transverse region will be discussed. All measurements are compared with general purpose QCD-inspired MC event generators.
