Mahmut Elbistan (Bogazici University, Istanbul): Circularly polarized periodic gravitational wave and the Pais-Uhlenbeck oscillator

We will show the equivalence of a spin-zero and massless particle moving in a circularly polarized periodic gravitational wave with the 1-d and 4th order Pais-Uhlenbeck oscillator. Then, using the symmetries of the gravitational wave (5 Carroll + 1 homothety + 1 screw isometry), we will derive conserved charges for the Pais-Uhlenbeck oscillator.
