Te-rich amorphous Ge-Sb-Te alloys were investigated by diffraction techniques and EXAFS. Structural models were obtained by fitting all datasets (5 for each sample) simultaneously. The results showed that the alloys are chemically ordered (number of heteronuclear bonds maximized) and obey the 8-N rule.
