Description

This work presents a methodology for computing stellar intensities using the Synspec software, providing the foundation for deriving more accurate limb-darkening coefficients (LDCs) for exoplanet-characterization space missions such as ESA's Ariel. Because exoplanetary transit light curves are sensitive to the center-to-limb intensity variation of the host star, precise LDCs are critical for mitigating systematic degeneracies in both stellar and planetary parameterization. Utilizing these Synspec-derived intensity profiles will allow us to derive more precise LDCs and eventually modelling the light curves more accurately.
