The Meeting of Young Astronomers and Astrophysicists (Fiatal Csillagász és Asztrofizikus Kutatók Találkozója - FIKUT NEXTGEN) returns after 12 years, bringing together a new generation of researchers.

The aim of the meeting is to provide BSc, MSc and PhD students, as well as recent PhD graduates, with an opportunity to present their work, learn about each other’s research, and publish their findings. FIKUT NEXTGEN embraces the full diversity of modern astrophysical research — including theoretical studies, numerical modelling, data analysis, space engineering, AI‑based methods, observations, instrumentation, and interdisciplinary frontier areas such as astrochemistry, planetary and atmospheric chemistry, and fields that connect astronomy with physics, computer science, and data‑driven sciences.

Organising institutions: Wigner, CSFK CSI.

The Organizing Committee:

  • Dóra Tarczay-Nehéz (HUN-REN CSFK CSI)

  • Borbála Cseh (HUN-REN CSFK CSI)

  • Bálint Seli (HUN-REN CSFK CSI)
