Description
We use (3+1)-dimensional hydrodynamic simulations to describe
the propagation of a jet through an opaque medium and to investigate
the underlying jet-medium interactions. The impact of different energy and
momentum loss scenarios, of different jet velocities, and system sizes are
analyzed. We will discuss if the particle correlations measured at the
Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) which show a conical shape
are a clear signal for the creation of a Mach cone. It is
demonstrated that radial expansion as well as the use of full hydrodynamics
introduces important corrections to the structures seen in the
linearized description.
