Venue
The Mátra mountains are located in the North-Eastern part of Hungary. Mátrafüred is a quiet touristic village in the middle of the oak and beech forests in a Landscape Protection Area, not far from the highest peak, Kékestető (1014 m). The Centralsync School will take place at the guesthouse of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (Mátrafüred Academic Resort, Akadémia u. 1-3., H-3232 Mátrafüred, Hungary).
How to reach Mátrafüred Academic Resort
By car
Take the motorway M3 (E71) from Budapest. Leave the motorway at exit 70 (Gyöngyös nyugat) then proceed to Gyöngyös on main road No. 3. In Gyöngyös, turn left in the centre (Budai Nagy Antal tér), and proceed on main road No. 24 to Mátrafüred. You will find Akadémia utca (street) on the right-hand side of the main road 24.
By public transportation
A possible way to find us that you take the Volan buses from Budapest. The Stadion autobus terminal is the second station (Puskas Ferenc Stadion) of the Metro2 (red line) starting from Örs Vezér tere and first stop from the Eastern Railway Station (Keleti pályaudvar). By plane
When you arrive at Liszt Ferenc International Airport of Budapest, the easiest solution is to take the Airport Shuttle Minibus to the Stadion bus terminal. From there you take the public bus to Mátrafüred as described above.
